Ambassador Program


  • Raise awareness of Chamber activities and benefits
  • Promote membership opportunities
  • Inform and involve new Chamber members to promote strong continuing membership
  • Encouraging meaningful and beneficial participation in the Chamber’s programs
  • Serve as a liaison between the Chamber staff and membership


The Chamber Ambassador Program consists of volunteers from the Chamber membership who donate their time to assist the Chamber in various activities. Ambassadors serve a term of one year, beginning on the date they are approved for the Program. Ambassadors may continue to serve after the one-year term if agreed upon by the Ambassador and the Chamber.

Requirements to be an Ambassador

  • Member in good standing of the South Mountain Chamber of Commerce
  • Attend monthly Ambassador meetings
  • Make phone calls to members to keep them involved in the Chamber
    • Welcome calls to new members
    • Calls to members who are coming due for renewal
    • Calls to renewing members
  • Be available for Ribbon Cuttings, Mixers, Lunch and Learns, and other Chamber events to assist in helping the event go smoothly
  • Look for guests at events and engage in conversation about the Chamber
  • Help educate and answer questions about Chamber membership to potential members
  • Wear the South Mountain Chamber of Commerce badge to events
  • (Optional) Wear the South Mountain Chamber of Commerce badge to events outside the Chamber
  • (Optional) Attend City of Phoenix, South Mountain, or Laveen development meetings to keep the Chamber aware of new developments in the area
